Brent is one of the busiest places in Britain for citizenship ceremonies and was the venue for the country's first ceremony, held back in February 2004.
Brent hold Citizenship Ceremonies three times a week. At the ceremony everyone invited for British citizenship swears or affirms an oath of loyalty to the Queen and promises to uphold the values and laws of the UK.
The ceremonies are meant to be enjoyable and meaningful events. They are an opportunity for the council to welcome new citizens into the borough and encourage them to play an active part in the community.
