Registered Social Landlords Conference

conference crowdThe theme of the 2006 Partnership conference was 'Partnering and Change' and the aim of the conference was to discuss how the Affordable Housing strategy can be shaped to reflect:

  • how new partnerships can work effectively to deliver affordable housing
  • Wembley - the catalyst for change
  • using the Local Development Framework to meet housing needs and other priorities, and achieve London Plan targets
  • the role of partners in tackling homelessness and overcrowding, reducing worklessness and social exclusion
  • exploring how joint commissioning and partnership working can maximise housing supply within a local and subregional context
  • the step change needed to integrate housing with the community care agenda


The conference was held on Tuesday 13 June 2006 at the Patidar conference imageCentre, 22 London Road, Wembley, Middx HA9 6EX.

The event included presentations from Martin Cheeseman, Director of Housing and Community Care, Jackie Jacob, Lead Investment Manager (West London), Housing Corporation, and Rod Cahill, Chief Executive, Catalyst Housing Group. There were also the following workshop sessions:
