Brent Chanukah

Brent Chanukah 2009 brightened up the borough during December with celebrations at Brent Town Hall and Wembley Synagogue.

Everyone was welcome to come and enjoy the joyous performances from local talent including beatboxing, choir singing anda theatre performance that the Brent Chanukah Programme 2009 (.pdf, 1877Kb) had to offer.

During the eight-day Jewish festival of light, the beautiful Brent Menorah (candelabra) was on display inside Brent Town Hall. The Menorah was made from recycled materials and decorated by local school pupils. One candle was lit at sunset each night until the final day when all eight candles were be ignited.
