Brent Adult and Community Education Service (BACES) is Brent Council’s adult education provider for learners across the borough. Our mission is `to broaden minds, create opportunities and change the lives of individuals and communities in Brent’

To do this we run lots of courses during the day, in the evenings and at weekends in centres right across the borough. We provide daytime crèches for pre-school children, reduced fees and free courses for people on benefit and a range of help with study skills and passing exams.

Some people love to learn just for the joy of it and there is plenty on offer to stretch your mind and help you extend your skills – drawing and painting, sugar craft, yoga, and dancing to name a few.

For others, learning is a way of improving their employment and life chances and there are many courses leading to nationally recognised qualifications. New this year, is the Progression Pathway which is a package of learning that helps you develop the skills you need to move on to a level 2 vocational course. As part of this package, you would gain a vocational qualification alongside qualifications in ICT, numeracy, English and personal and social development if you need them. If you think this is an option for you, contact your local BACES centre.

Have a look inside and I hope you agree that there is a refreshing and exciting range of courses on offer.
