Young learners

We are committed to ensuring that the London Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG)key priority to inspire children and young people is fully realised in Brent.

Working with schools, the youth service, children's social care services and community organisations, we are developing an exciting programme of activities including the Brent Inspires Award allowing young people to engage in sports, culture and creative experiences.

The young learners programme of activities have been designed to use the power of the London 2012 Games to inspire a generation of young people, through encouraging sports participation and healthy lifestyles and promoting the wider opportunities for education and learning, volunteering, tourism, and cultural participation.

The Brent Inspires Award is our flagship programme for young people and has been recognised by the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games (LOCOG) as a project that is genuinely inspired by the 2012 Games and has been awarded the London 2012 Inspire Mark.
