Woodland burials at Carpenders Park

Woodlands burials are available at Carpenders Park Cemetery.

Ecological coffins
To ensure that the woodland burial area remains as natural as possible, only bio-degradable coffins can be used.

Wooden coffins will only be acceptable if manufactured from timber felled from managed tree forests and must be ecologically sound. 

Coffins made out of alternative materials such as willow, bamboo or cardboard are available through most funeral directors, or details may be obtained through the Cemeteries Service.
