How to book a course

Joining a BACES course is easy: just follow the three steps below.

1. Choose your course

Do you need help in finding out more about our courses? Courses are listed in subject groups and course information sheets are available.

Please check the start dates of your selected course. If a course has already started you may still be able to enrol if spaces are available in the first two weeks after the starting date. Otherwise, contact the centre directly to get more information.

You can get information about BACES courses by contacting the main centres, or email us at guidance.baces@brent.gov.uk

2. Work out how much to pay

The cost of courses is shown in the course details. Reduced fees, when available, are listed against each course. Please bring evidence of your right to a reduction when you enrol.

Some courses have additional costs for materials and exam fees. Ring your centre for details or refer to a course information sheet.

To work out your fee, decide which of these categories applies to you and your course:

  • A. Full Fee (full fees for courses more than 15 weeks can be paid in two instalments. You must include the first half with your enrolment).
  • B. Women and men (or unwaged partner) in receipt of an income related benefit e.g. Income Support or Jobseekers Allowance, some Family Credit, or Invalidity Benefit. You will need to show evidence such as an order or benefits book or a Benefits Agency Certificate.
  • C. Accreditation (Exam) / Other costs (non-refundable, payable at enrolment). Women and men (or unwaged partner) in receipt of an income related benefit only pay 50% of the accreditation cost. The maximum you will contribute is £50.00.

16 - 19 year olds not in full time education have free access to accredited courses. Please contact one of the customer service administration teams at BACES for further information.

All information provided is correct and is subject to change. We reserve the right to change the fees at anytime.

Childcare/ Creche Facilities
We have creches for pre-school children in most of our main centres. Before you enrol, contact the centre you plan to attend and check to see that there is a creche place available. Please reserve your place when you enrol as they do fill up quickly.

As there is a demand for places, please let us know if your child is going to miss a session for any reason - we cannot keep places open if they are not used.

3. Book your place
Check out the enrolment details for more information on how to book.

  • Course fees to be paid on enrolment
  • We do not reserve spaces on our courses.
