Choosing a nursery

Day nurseries provide play, care and educational experiences for children usually aged from six months to five years, all day or on a part-time basis. They are registered with the Office for Standards in Education, Ofsted, and inspected regularly. Primary and independent school nursery classes are registered with the Department for Children, Schools and Families.
