Important information for Brent higher education students 2009/10.

For the academic year 2007/08 a pilot scheme operated in Brent to test changes to the way students applied for student finance. The new arrangements have been in place since 3 April, 2006.

Higher education student finance is now dealt with by Student Finance England. All applicants should apply directly by contacting them on: 0845 300 5090.

The Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) will help you to continue in education and get the qualifications you want. If you're 16, 17 or 18 and have left, or are about to leave, compulsory education, then it could be for you. EMA spells fewer money worries with up to £30 a week during term time - leaving you to get on with your studies.
