Home to school transport

We want to make sure that all young people have access to affordable transport to school, and that the lack of funding is not a barrier to participating in further education.

Home to school travel grant 

In order to assist pupils who have difficult circumstances or face high costs getting to and from schools, the council offers home to school travel grants.

Different grants apply to 5 - 16 year olds and 16 - 19 year olds:

The amount of funding available is limited, and we reserve the right to refuse applications in the event that the budget for the year is spent.
