We want to make sure that all young people have access to affordable transport to school, and that the lack of funding is not a barrier to participating in further education.
Financial help is available in the form of a grant for pupils aged 16-19 who live in Brent, are still at school, who have very difficult personal circumstances or face high costs in getting to and from school.
The grants are aimed at pupils continuing in school sixth forms, but in exceptional circumstances we will consider applications from students attending a further education college.
In those cases the applicant will need to demonstrate that they have applied to their college and that their application has been refused. The amount of funding available is limited, and we reserve the right to refuse applications in the event that the budget for the year is spent.
