Social Care Locality Service

We have changed the way social care services are delivered in order to improve opportunities for children, young people and their families.

Two services help to support them: the Social Care Locality Service and the Care Planning and Looked After Children Service.

The Social Care Locality Service is made up of five teams of social workers, covering the Wembley, Harlesden, Willesden, Kilburn and Kingsbury areas.

This service is responsible for early intervention, preventative work, child protection investigations and support for children who are coming into care.

In the future it is likely that these teams will include other professionals such as youth workers and education welfare officers. They will also work closely with local services, such as NHS Brent, and voluntary organisations.
