Your new civic centre will open its doors for the first time on 10 June when our Customer Services and the Registration and Nationality Service move in. Wembley Library opens a week later on 17 June.

The ground-breaking development, beside two established icons, Wembley Stadium and Wembley Arena, will realise our vision for a single community building consolidating their civic, public and administrative functions on to one site. It has been designed to streamline the efficient delivery of services to Brent's diverse community and accelerate the regeneration of the northern part of Wembley.

The centre's key features include a landscaped garden for the community, exhibition and gallery space, community rooms, the new state-of-the-art library and 'The Drum at Wembley' with event facilities and capacity for up to 1000 people for weddings, performances and cultural celebrations.

Brent Civic Centre provides office space for over 2000 employees, previously located in more than a dozen buildings scattered across the borough. Not only will this contribute to savings of £2.5m a year, but it will mean the council can offer a much more integrated service to residents, all under one roof.

Sustainability is a key element in the design and construction of the civic centre and it received an interim design stage BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) 'Outstanding' rating and has been recognised as the greenest public building in the UK.
