Learning disabilities

Brent Learning Disability Partnership provides statutory learning disability services in Brent. The partnership is an integration of all Brent learning disability services and those previously provided by Parkside Health Trust.

We also offer:

• assessment and care management
• transition into adulthood
• employment placements and job coaching
• outreach services
• crisis intervention
• adult placement
• bereavement counselling
• specialist health services such as psychology, physiotherapy, community nursing and occupational therapy
• support with some of the caring tasks in the home
  
• day services, including training centres, special care units, special needs units and local community facilities
  
• residential places if you wish to live more independently or if your family is no longer able to provide care
• respite care to provide you with a different and enjoyable experience and allow your carers to take a short break

We have introduced direct payments and personal budgets to give people with a learning disability more choice and control over the services they receive.
