Sheltered housing

The council provides sheltered housing through a partnership with a number of Housing Associations including Willow, PCHA, Innisfree, ASRA and Jewish Community Housing Association. These Housing Associations accept nominations from the Council Housing department, from Older Peoples Services and from a wide range of other voluntary organisations operating in Brent.

Applicants will normally have to be over 60 years of age and have to be assessed as suitable for the scheme.

There are also two extra care sheltered schemes. These help those elders who are more frail and who need additional support. Applications for this type of sheltered housing are made through Older Peoples Services.
