Who can have a Personal Budget?

People who have been assessed as eligible to receive community care services under the Government Fair Access to Care Services Guidelines (FACS), are eligible for public funding, who have a long term need for support will be offered a Personal Budget.

How do people know if they are eligible for Self Directed Support?
You can apply for an assessment of your own needs, or someone can apply on your behalf. A meeting will be arranged to assess if you are eligible to receive support from Adult Social Care.

If you are eligible and need long term support complete questionnaire (.docx, 77Kb) to help you tell us what your needs and aims are and what support you think you need to achieve them. Please tell us your views on the questionnaire so we can change it and make it as good as possible.

What happens if I am not eligible for support from Adult Social Care?
