Housing Crime Reduction Team

The council has established a Housing Crime Reduction Team to co-ordinate crime reduction issues and to ensure effective policy and strategy implementation. The key aim of the team is to ensure that the department plays a key role in reducing crime and the fear of crime thus fulfilling section 17 of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998.

The team are seen as a key link between Housing's various units and external agencies that deal with community safety issues.
