Our plans and developments
Connexions is an integrated service providing advice, guidance, support and personal development services for all 13-19 year olds. Connexions aims to help young people engage in learning, training or employment, whilst also helping them to achieve their full potential and assist in ensuring a smooth transition to adult life. The service is delivered through a network of well-qualified Personal Advisers (PAs) drawn from a number of different agencies.
All young people can have access to a PA, although the level of contact and support will vary depending on the needs of each young person. Services may range from a one-off careers interview arranged through school, to intensive and ongoing one-to-one support. There is a PA in every maintained secondary school and Further Education College, together with a range of community-based PAs, and a drop-in Connexions Centre.
