Census and demographic information

The national population census is carried out every ten years and consists of a questionnaire, which every household in the country is obliged to complete. 

 

The demographic information the Census gives us helps us plan the services we provide including health, education and housing. For example, if we know how many children live in Brent we can ensure we have enough places in schools.

  • You can no longer complete your census online. This service closed on 22 May 2011. You can, however, still complete your questionnaire on paper and post it back in the envelope provided.
