Members’ Question Time (Standing Order 38)
Introduction
At every Full Council meeting a Members' Questions session is held. All non-Executive Members have the right to ask a question of the Executive regarding the work the Council is undertaking.
Ten questions are submitted by non-Executive members from all three of the political groups in advance of the Council meeting. These are then answered by the relevant Executive member. All the other questions submitted are answered in writing after the meeting has taken place.
Where a question has been answered in advance by the Executive, the questioner has the right at the meeting to then ask a supplementary question. To see the details of any supplementary questions please see the minutes of the relevant meeting in our reports database.
