Ratings and Comments/Suggestions can be applied to Suppliers, Products or Local Authorities.

Details of the individual ratings and comments can only be viewed by local authorities or the relevant supplier via the eGR Extranet site (which is only available to registered users).

The main eGR website (which is available to everyone) shows the average composite star rating and the total number of ratings/comments against Suppliers, Products or Local Authorities - but no individual details.

Ratings are on a scale from 1 (poor) to 5 (excellent). At present there is a just single rating for each supplier, product or LA but in the future we may change this to allow separate ratings for different aspects e.g. for Suppliers - Performance, Professionalism; for Products - Functionality, Reliability, Ease of Integration and for LAs - Professionalism, Technical competence, Cooperative Working.

Comments can be any text*.

The objective of this facility is to allow Suppliers and LAs to comment and make suggestions where a supplier's product is in use by the LA.

You can only enter data if you have registered and are from the relevant supplier or local authority.

The actual identity or organisation of the person making the rating or comment is not revealed in order to encourage frankness. Of course you can say who you are in your comments if you wish to.

There is no limit to the number of ratings or comments. Comments/suggestions can be responded to (by either LA or Supplier) so that a discussion thread can be established. Old data will be deleted after a set period of time (currently 3 years). eGR staff will act as mediators in any disputes.

What data you can enter or see is determined by various rules which are designed to ensure that you have access only to the appropriate information -

If you are from a Local Authority:

• You can view and respond to R/C on your own LA record
• You can add and view R/C for any Supplier whose products you use
• You can add and view R/C for any Product that you use
• You can view R/C on any other LA, Supplier or Product record - but you cannot enter/update them

• You can view and respond to R/C on your own Supplier record
• You can view and respond to R/C on your own Product records
• You can add and view R/C on any LA which uses your products
• You can view R/C on any other LA record - but you cannot add/update them
• You cannot view any R/C for Supplier or Product records that are not your own
