How to update this website for Suppliers
This website contains details of e-Government related Suppliers and Products. We hold data about software, infrastructure hardware or managed services used by UK local government - we do not hold data about consultancy, health, education or other public sector agencies (see the Scope document for more details). There is no charge for any data that is held on the website.
If you represent an e-government related Supplier and you wish to modify the information on the website please follow these steps :
1. To create a new entry for your company - just contact us and provide the URL of your organisation's website which hopefully will have the data we need. Please note that we do not hold data on consultants or resellers except in very limited circumstances. Geocoding - see below*.
2. To create a new Product record - just contact us and supply the URL of the page with a description of the Product on your website. We only hold data about Products which fall into our standard categories. We do occasionally change these standard categories - please contact us if you want to suggest additional product types.
3. To create a new record of Usage of one of your products by a UK local authority please provide us with the name of the authority, the name of the product, the implementation status (Live, In progress, Planned etc) and preferably the year when it went live - or use the Usage spreadsheet which is available from the Product page.
4. To create a new Integration or Adapter record for one of your products please use the Integration spreadsheet which is available from the Product page or contact us for further details.
5. To modify any existing data just let us know what needs to be changed. You can just send us an email or there are downloadable spreadsheets showing all LA users of a particular product and examples of integration from a particular supplier - these can be used to minimise the work required to update existing data. These are available from the Supplier and Product pages.
Refer to the Contact Us page for contact information.
Updates to the website are normally carried out within 3 working days (unless there is a lot of data to enter) and we will notify you when it is complete.
Please note that we need to retain some evidence of the request and so this must be sent either by email (using your organisation's official email domain name) or by fax (using official organisation headed paper).
We will always promptly correct any factual errors but we reserve the right to display information in the best interests of the website as a whole.
We reserve the right to decline to hold data about any supplier, product or usage.
Products whose usage has been reviewed by their suppliers can be seen (in date sequence) from http://www.brent.gov.uk/egr.nsf/WebViews/Products+-+Review+Dates+by+Supplier
* Geocoding - if you want us to geocode the address of your main office (which will then provide links for Google & Microsoft maps and Google Earth) please use one of the recommended facilities to provide us with the lat/long coordinates. Google Earth only works satisfactorily in areas with high resolution imagery. We only hold data for one office location per supplier.
