Scope of the eGovernment Register
The primary objective of the eGovernment Register is to provide information about e-government software/hardware products and their use by UK local authorities. The following data is maintained:
1. All UK local authorities and e-government related partnerships
2. Suppliers and products relating to e-government software & hardware
3. Suppliers of e-government related managed services or business process outsourcing
4. Usage of such products by UK local authorities
5. Integration between such products
6. Tenders for such products
The following data is not held:
1. Products which fall outside the current eGR product categories
2. Suppliers of consultancy or similar services
3. Resellers of software
3. Data for non local government organisations e.g central government, health, police, fire, education
The reason why we do not hold data about the above areas is that we have limited resources which are only sufficient to maintain the in-scope information.
