| ODPM desc: | Sharing of Trading Standards data between councils for business planning and enforcement purposes |

| IDeA guidance: | To fulfil this requirement, councils will have to be signatories to an information sharing agreement covering the exchange of trading standards data – either as data supplier or recipient or both.
Once information sharing agreements are in place councils will have to agree secure messaging protocols for transferring information.
Qualifying councils must also make use of that data for business planning or enforcement purposes. |
