Description:

The Google Search Appliance (GSA) provides highly relevant search results for your public website or internal enterprise search requirement with the familiar end user search experience of www.google.com. The GSA will index content stored in webservers, filesystems, databases, document and content management systems including Lotus Notes, MS Sharepoint, JADU, Mediasurface and Documentum. It also integrates with taxonomy based classification tools such as Semaphore from Smartlogic.

The GSA includes a variety of features such as direct database indexing, continuous crawling of content for fresher search indexes, unlimited search collections, stemming, spell checking, results clustering, RAID (to provide continued service in the event of hard disk failure) and support for user-level document security.

The Google Mini is designed for the needs of smaller organisations and provides a cost effective solution to organisations wishing to provide search across non-secure content with a maximum of 300,000 documents.
