Supplier Types have been replaced by a facility to view the types of product provided by the supplier.

The reason for this change is the difficulty in representing the type of supplier in a concise and meaningful way. Large organisations were almost impossible to categorise adequately and smaller organisations were seldom satisfied with the list of available supplier types.

In practice the list of Supplier Types had come to be virtually identical to the list of Product Types and thus the most practical method of categorising Suppliers is to show the types of product that they provide (as held on the eGov Register).

This change was implemented on 3 April 2007.
