:
This outcome is a voluntary one agreed by high performing councils as part of the IEG3 grant claim process.
To meet this requirement, council will need to identify the mix of electronic ‘marketplaces’ that will meet their procurement requirements, establishing a business case for participation in each one.
They will need to ensure that their existing suppliers are set up on the marketplace(s), where they are not already present.
They will need to establish operating procedures for using the marketplace(s), such as buyer identification, and put the required technical infrastructure in place, including any integration to back-office financial systems.
