ODPM desc:Agreed baseline and targets for turnaround in processing of Council Tax and Housing Benefit claims (BVPI 78) and renewals.
 
IDeA guidance:This outcome is a voluntary one agreed by high performing councils as part of the IEG3 grant claim process.

To satisfy the requirements of this outcome councils will have to e-enable the processing of Best Value Performance Indicator 78 (relating to the speed of processing claims) and the renewals process. BVPI 78(a) relates to the average time taken to process new claims, whilst BVPI 78(b) relates to the average time taken to process notification of changes of circumstances.
