Description:

April 2008 - GC Register will no longer be provided via the GC programme but the same functionality for secure authenticated citizen access to government services is available via the Government Gateway from EDT - see link below.

The GC Register product was simply going to be a rebadged version of Government Gateway anyway so this move clarifies the position. Several local authorities are already using the Gov Gateway.
