AirTEXT

AirTEXT is a free text message service that warns vulnerable people about predicted poor air quality.

Who is it for?
Anyone can register for the service, but it is likely to be most useful to people who experience problems when air pollution is high, for example those with heart or breathing problems.

Receiving alerts in advance means you can make sure you are carrying the right medication or avoid activities which may cause you problems, such as heavy exercise or staying too long in a place where there is poor air quality.

How does it work?
You can choose whether to receive your alerts the evening before or the morning of a day that is predicted as having high air pollution. As well as the alert, you will get basic health advice to help you decide what you should do.

What does it cost?
Nothing. Register here.

What happens next?
You will be sent a welcome text and should start receiving messages the next working day.
