Text description of Brent's Constituencies (from 2007 onwards)
At the last general elections in 2005, three constituencies covered the borough of Brent. Following a boundary review it has been proposed that, due to population changes, the borough's constituencies should change.

Current Position:
At the moment there are three constituencies (Brent North, Brent South and Brent East).

Future Position:
The proposal is for two constituencies in Brent (Brent North and Brent Central) and that we also share one constituency with part of the Borough of Camden (Hampstead and Kilburn).

Note that these changes will only come into affect at a general election, any by-election held before that would be under the old boundaries and the current MPs will continue to serve their current constituencies until any such general election.

The boundaries of constituencies co-incide with the local Ward boundaries and so the following describes the new constituencies by their component Wards:

Brent North:
Alperton, Barnhill, Fryent, Kenton, Northwick Park, Preston, Queensbury, Sudbury, Wembley Central.

Brent Central:
Dollis Hill, Dudden Hill, Harlesden, Kensal Green, Mapesbury, Stonebridge, Tokyngton, Welsh Harp, Willesden Green

Hampstead and Kilburn:
Brent Wards: Brondesbury Park, Kilburn, Queen's Park

Camden Wards: Belsize, Fortune Green, Frognal and Fitzjohns, Hampstead Town, Kilburn, Swiss Cottage, West Hampstead
