Brent Black History Programme is a series of extended events throughout the year to recognise and celebrate black culture.
2012 is an important year for Brent and we will be marking the occasion with a number of events.
Keep your eye out for Wasted Spaces as unused shop fronts in Wembley are transformed into temporary exhibition spaces.

Brent Holocaust Memorial Day is a day dedicated to the remembrance of victims of the holocaust that marks the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz and recognises other genocides that have taken place across the world.

Brent St Patricks is at the heart of the UK's Irish community and Brent enjoys the celebrations with a family fun-packed event on St Patrick's day

Brent Respect Festival is a showcase of music, dance and interactive workshops for all to celebrate Brent's cultural diversity, in one of Brents award winning parks.
Brent Dance Month 2009 seeks to promote Brent's rich diversity and cultural heritage through dance and the arts. This is a wonderful opportunity to get people to take part in a wide range of high quality dance within Brent.

Brent Eid is an array of performance, workshops and delicious food to showcase Muslim traditions from around the world. All are welcome to celebrate this day of peace to mark the end of Ramadhan, the month of fasting.
Brent Navratri is the largest Hindu festival of 'nine nights' outside of India made up of 300 colourful social events.
Brent Diwali is a cultural spectacular celebrating the festival of light, love and knowledge. A stunning exhibition of Indian Rangoli, a colourful parade of lanterns, floats and costumes all proceed along Ealing Road to the fireworks and live music event.December
Brent Chanukah is the eight day Jewish festival of light. Harmonies sung by the various community choirs make it a truely celebratory experience for all. 
Brent Christmas light switch on will launch a host of festive celebrations taking place across the borough. The activities include Santa's Grotto, a traditional festive film screening and harmonious carol concerts. _________________________________________________________________
