January

 

September

  • Navratri .The largest Hindu festival of 'nine nights' outside of India made up of 300 colourful social events.
  • Wasted Spaces .A brand new arts initiative, taking art outside of the museum and gallery walls. The project puts art in vacant shop fronts on high street locations, transforming empty and unloved spaces into exciting art experiences.
  • Youth Circus programme .A year long pilot programme of Free Circus workshops open to young people across the borough.
 

October

  • Eid .An array of performance, workshops and delicious food to showcase Muslim traditions from around the world. All are welcome to celebrate this day of peace to mark the end of Ramadhan, the month of fasting.
  • Diwali .A cultural spectacular celebrating the festival of light, love and knowledge. A stunning exhibition of Indian Rangoli, a colourful parade of lanterns, floats and costumes all proceed along Ealing Road to the fireworks and live music event.
 

December

  • Chanukah .The eight day Jewish festival of light. Harmonies sung by the various community choirs make it a truely celebratory experience for all.
  • Christmas .A Christian celebration that marks the birth of Christ with events full of Christmas cheer and festive joy
 

January

  • Holocaust Memorial Day .A day dedicated to the remembrance of victims of the holocaust that marks the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz and recognises other genocides that have taken place across the world.
 

March

  • St Patrick's Day .At the heart of the UK's Irish community and Brent enjoys the celebrations with a family fun-packed event on St Patrick's day

July

  • Respect Festival .A showcase of music, dance and interactive workshops for all to celebrate Brent's cultural diversity, in one of Brents award winning parks.
  • Brent Dance Month .Seeks to promote Brent's rich diversity and cultural heritage through dance and the arts. This is a wonderful opportunity to get people to take part in a wide range of high quality dance within Brent
