Two years to go to London 2012

Today marks two years to go to the start of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Brent will have a big part to play as we get set to host the men's and women's football semi finals and finals at Wembley Stadium and in addition Badminton and Rhythmic Gymnastics at Wembley Arena.

Both these venues already have a rich and outstanding heritage of the Olympics movement, having previously played a key role is hosting the 1948 Olympics at Wembley.

We are passionate about and committed to the London Games and want to ensure our communities are participants of and share the excitement of these historical events at Brent's famous sports and music venues.

Brent is once again proud to be a 'host borough for London 2012' and will be working with our partners at the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Olympic Delivery Authority and the Mayor of London to ensure that our communities benefit from these London Games.
