30/04/2008: Young artist needed for Respect

Are you a young artist aged 16 or under?

 

This is your opportunity to create exciting artwork to promote this years Brent Respect Festival.

 

Winning entries will be used for programmes, posters, press and advertising boards throughout the borough. You will see your artwork all over Brent.

 

The lucky winner will also receive £50 of arts vouchers.

 

The deadline for entries is Wednesday 14 May.

 

Brent Respect Festival aims to have something for everyone. These are some of the activities planned for this years programme.

 

  • Three stages showcasing Brent's talented dancers, musicians and performers
  • Funfair, balloons and ice creams
  • Food stalls from across the world
  • Dog and sports arenas
  • Craft, dance, circus workshops and family activities
  • Storytelling and spoken word events to celebrate National Year of Reading

 

Competition rules

Open to anyone aged 16 and under (one entry per person) Entries must be on A4 paper and designs should be bright and colourful. Any medium (paint, coloured pencil, collage) is acceptable. Artwork should reflect the diversity of residents in Brent. Do not include text in your design. Artwork should include things you expect to see at the festival.
