12/05/2008: Youth film festival success

Brent's first-ever festival of films produced by schools in the borough proved to be a real blockbuster.

The Brent Youth Tube Film Festival 2008 took place at Kilburn's Tricycle Theatre on Tuesday 6 and Wednesday 7 May and premiered 30 varied, uplifting and powerful films produced by primary and secondary school students to packed audiences.

The featured films which included uplifting and inventive documentaries, spine chilling horror, stunning drama and innovative music videos are all available to view now on the Preston Manor CLC website www.clctv.tv/youthtube/

Brent's Youth Tube Festival 2008 was brought to the screen by the Preston Manor City Learning Centre and Brent's school improvement services.

The event, which attracted large audiences on both days also featured a surprise guest appearance from ex-Cardinal Hinsley pupil, now up-and-coming rapper Bashy.
