27/10/2008
: London Overground closure

From Monday 1 September until Sunday 16 November 2008, planned engineering work will affect sections of the London Overground network in Brent and the service to Euston.

The Overground line between Willesden Junction and Stratford via Brondesbury and Hampstead Heath will be part-replaced by an alternative bus service between Kensal Rise and Gospel Oak, calling also at Queen's Park and South Hampstead stations.

There will be an alternative to the Watford Junction- Euston Overground service on Mondays to Saturdays, because a temporary service will instead run from Watford Junction through Wembley Central and Willesden Junction to Camden Road and on to Stratford via South Hampstead and Primrose Hill. This will result in the loss of the direct service to Euston, except on Sundays, between those dates.

Valid London Overground tickets (including Oyster) will be accepted on all rail replacement buses; some local bus services (for example on route 187 between Kensal Rise and Harlesden) and by London Midland trains between Euston and Watford Junction.

Other London Overground services from Willesden Junction will continue during this period; to and from Richmond on a twenty-minute frequency, and half hourly on the link to Clapham Junction.

The Bakerloo line to and from Harrow and Wealdstone will also operate normally throughout the period.

Leaflets are available from affected stations or for more information, please see the London Overground page on the Transport for London website.
