: Weekend overnight closures M1 J1-4 in November

The Highways Agency is carrying out work on an £11 million project on the M1 between junctions 1 and 4 to replace existing overhead gantries, that have reached the end of their life, with new electronic signs to provide better information for road users.

Closures of the M1 are necessary to remove the old gantries safely and efficiently whilst maintaining road safety. The closure will also allow the work to be done more quickly, which will keep any delays for road users and disturbance to local residents to an absolute minimum.
