Homefinders is a free online advertising service that assists landlords and individuals who are looking for accommodation. It puts local landlords in touch with prospective tenants.
Once the details of a property vacancy have been registered on the system it can then be advertised immediately on the internet. Details of property vacancies are also displayed at all of our One Stop Service outlets.
How does the service work for a landlord?
Landlords can advertise vacant accommodation by completing a simple on-line registration form. These details are checked by us and the vacancy is then advertised free of charge the next working day on the website. Alternatively landlords can contact 020 8937 2777 and phone through the vacancy details.
Once a vacancy is advertised on the website landlords will be contacted direct by prospective tenants. When a vacancy has gone the landlord should notify us as soon as possible so that we can then remove the vacancy details from the site. Landlords will also be sent periodic email reminders to provide us with updates on the status of their vacancies. A landlord need only submit their vacancy details to us once. If you later need to re-advertise your vacancy just contact the Homefinders Coordinator on 020 8937 2777 or e-mail Homefinders The Coordinator will then arrange for the vacancy to be displayed again on the website.
How does the service work for a prospective tenant?
View the current vacancies. You can contact landlord direct at the times the landlord has specified in the advert to discuss the possibility of arranging a viewing and hopefully to agree the terms of a tenancy.
Officers from the One Stop Service can assist customers in using the Homefinders service and will give them contact details for the property vacancies they have chosen. Prospective tenants must then contact these landlords themselves to see if they can agree the terms for entering into a tenancy agreement. Unfortunately we cannot reply to any emails requesting accommodation as all available vacancies are listed on the website.
