The demand for housing assistance from the council far exceeds the supply of accommodation.
Thousands of households are seeking help with housing.
The supply of properties to let from the council and other social landlords (housing associations) in Brent is limited. It is only enough to meet the needs of a very small proportion of all applicants on the housing register.
Eligibility
In order to qualify for acceptance on the housing register applicants must meet the following criteria:
*If you are between the ages of 16 and 18 you will need to provide the council with a suitable guarantor before an offer of accommodation can be made. A guarantor is someone who will agree to pay your rent and other charges if you fail to do so.

Once we have received your application form it will be processed and an acknowledgement letter will be sent to you informing you of the assessment
outcome.
If you have been accepted onto our housing register you will become part of Locata which allows you to bid for available properties through the Locata scheme.
