Our libraries stock a fantastic range of books and we are happy to recommend the best reads and keep you informed of new stock. There are also reading groups, author visits and special events for you to get involved in.
Many of our libraries have Quick Choice sections, where we take the hard work out of finding a good book by carefully picking out some of the bestsellers, latest releases and well-known authors and reviewing them for you.

Alan Bennett, The Uncommon Reader
Bennett will have you laughing out loud with this tale of when the Queen discovers a love for reading that takes her away from her royal duties. a must read, Bennett at his usual best.
James Patterson, 7th Heaven
Ian McEwan, On Chesil Beach
This short novel set in 1962 and explores the experiences of two newly weds on their honeymoon. Edward, who has little experience with women is nervous and Florence has conflicting emotions about her husband. What happens on this one night has a profound effect on the rest of their lives.
Sophie Kinsella, Shopaholic and Baby
The latest novel in the shopaholic series sees Becky hit the shops again, but this time she's pregnant. Her antics still manage to have hilarious consequences. Not one for the boys!
Dean Koontz, The Good Guy
Timothy Carrier is having a beer after work at his friend's tavern, when a stranger in the bar mistakes him for a hitman, passing him an envelop full of case and details of his next killing. Will Tim prove to be a good guy?
John Grisham, An Innocent Man
True story about a miscarriage of justice that will have you hooked. Ronald Keith Williamson was a successful baseball player, who had it all. But after injury finished his career he drifted into petty crime. In 1982 a girl was found raped and murdered while Williamson was in prison for fraud. But a fellow prisoner claimed he overheard him confessing to the killing and Williamson was found guilty of the crime.
Jeremy Clarkson, And Another Thing
A collection of articles written by Clarkson for the Sunday Times in 2004 and 2005. Enjoy the Top Gear presenter at his most grumpy, unapologetic and sarcastic. Great stuff!
