Homework clubs

Our homework clubs aim to help children aged between eight and 14.  They run during term-time and include:

  • internet access and free printouts
  • Word processing and other computer facilities
  • specially chosen reference and lending books
  • study space
  • children's librarian and specialist staff.

The clubs are free and open to all library members. No advanced booking needed.

Ealing Road Library Tuesday 3.30-5.30pm
This homework club also provides a support service for parents. It offers a family learning programme, delivered by Brent Adult and Community Education Service (BACES), which focuses on English for speakers of other languages, literacy, numeracy and IT skills for parents and carers. It aims to help parents develop confidence in supporting their children's learning, as well as providing a first step to further learning opportunities.

Preston Library Wednesdays 4-5pm. Reading support is provided. Places must be booked in advance.

Homework clubs and reading support are a partnership project delivered in connection with BACES, Extended Services Wembley Cluster (Children's Partnerships) and Volunteer Reading Help.
