Reading groups and recommended reads
Our libraries stock a fantastic range of books and we are happy to recommend the best reads and keep you informed of new stock. There are lots of reading groups, author visits and stock promotion for you to get involved in.
Reading groups
Do you like to read and chat with other book lovers? We have twelve reading groups which meet monthly. New members are always welcome.
Groups are free of charge and open to all - just drop in refreshments are provided each group chooses which books to read. (This is usually done a couple of months in advance). Books are free to borrow.
- Cricklewood Library Group - 4th Thursday of the month 7-8pm
- Kensal Rise Library Group - 3rd Thursday of the month 2.30-3.30pm
- Kilburn Library Group - 2nd Thursday of the month 7-8pm
- Town Hall Library - Reading Group Mondays 2-4pm. Over 50s clubs, meet likeminded people and chat over the books. Reading and knitting group Tuesdays 9.30-10.30am
- Willesden Green Library Group - 2nd Sunday of the month 2.30-4pm, Wednesdays 2-4pm. Tamil Reading Group, a friendly group of Tamil speakers who chat over the latest Tamil fiction, meets last Saturday of the month 2.30-4pm. Gujarati Reading Group, first floor, first Saturday of the month from 2.30 to 4.30 pm, alternately from 2.00 to 4.30 pm.
