Dear Editor
I wanted to write and support the work of the parks employees and in particular the excellent things to do at Roundwood Park. Having the park warden based inside the park is a great idea and really helps to keep up the high standards.
I remember the park when my children were younger and although a lot has changed in Harlesden over the years Roundwood remains a quiet retreat that's welcoming and well looked after. I now visit the park regularly with my grandchildren and still enjoy the same features that I remember from years gone by.
The park is a very pleasant setting and it's also a great place for the kids to play and the adults to relax for a while.

Dear Editor
I've recently moved into the Willesden Green area and am writing to say what a vibrant place I am finding it to be.
The high street has so many little shops and restaurants each with their own individual character, and the people I've met are so friendly.
We are really near Gladstone Park which is really well-kept and the tube station is conveniently located, well looked after and has some lovely flower displays.
The high street could do with a bit of sprucing up and I hope that in the future the shop fronts are as nice as the people I've met!

Dear Editor
After reading about an accident involving a schoolboy hit by a car I thought of two things.
Firstly, more than 90 per cent of school children wear dark clothing.Their jackets are not part of the school uniform; therefore, parents should buy them bright coloured jackets. I understand that dark clothes need minimum maintenance, but the safety of the children should come first.
Therefore parents, when you buy winter jackets for your children, please buy visible and bright coloured jackets. That makes a lot of difference to the safety of your children. Secondly, when crossing the road, such as at a zebra crossing, children seem to be thinking of their right of way rather than their own safety. I think this attitude should be addressed by the teachers and parents.
