Memorial maintenance

There are War Memorials in two of Brent's Parks.

Barham Park
The Memorial was erected in the Queen Elizabeth Il Garden to commemorate those who died in the two World Wars. Remembrance Services are held across the nation on the second Sunday in November. Brent's services usually include a two minutes silence and the laying of wreaths at the Barham Park Memorial.

Gladstone Park
The five figures of Memorial to Prisoners of War and Concentration Camp Victims have stood in the Gladstone Park since they were presented to Brent Council in 1971 by sculptor Fred Kormis. The moving sculpture were restored during the Heritage Lottery Fund Project in 2004 and stands in the north west of the park.
