To mark thisyear's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) History Month, Brent-basedindependent film-maker, Anna Black will be showing her films at a specialevening event on 20 February at the Willesden Green Library Centre.
The event, which takes place from 6 to 9pm, will also feature movies from the Transgender Film Festivalwhich took place in London recently.
On 26 February the library will be hosting a 'livingbook' evening, also from 6 to 9pm, in which
readers will have the chance to meet and talk to people from the LGBT community. And throughout February thelibrary will be providing visitors with lists of all the LGBT-themed books andfilms featured.
Elsewhere in theborough, the Brent Museum has chosen to mark the Month with a special LBGTHistory Timeline which can be accessed via the council's website at www.brent.gov.uk.
Brent's LGBTHistory Month activities have been organised in association with Mosaic LGBTYouth Centre which delivers services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender andquestioning people under 19 and is funded by the Brent Youth Service.
