Elections
Elections are the process used to select people to serve on governing bodies such as councils and the national government. There are a number of different types of election held in Brent.
General (electing Members of Parliament) Council (electing local councillors) Mayoral (electing the Mayor of London) Greater London Authority (electing Members of the London Assembly) European Parliament (electing Members of the European Parliament)
Electoral Services
Electoral Services is responsible for a large part of the organisation of elections including receiving candidates’ nominations, issuing and receiving postal and proxy votes, running polling stations and finally counting the votes.
