StreetWatchers
Who are StreetWatchers?
StreetWatchers are residents who volunteer their time on behalf of Brent
Council. They act as the eyes and ears of the borough and work with us to help improve their neighbourhoods. There are currently over 150 in Brent.
What they do
StreetWatchers keep an eye on their street and report any problems to us. Although we check the borough's streets daily, our officers cannot visit every street every day. Just by walking around their neighbourhoods every few weeks and reporting any problems, StreetWatchers can be a big help to us. They choose how much time they dedicate to the scheme.
Type of problems reported:
- overflowing recycling banks
- fly-tipping and dumped rubbish on the public highway
- graffiti and fly-posting
- broken street furniture (such as lamp posts and benches)
- dirty streets
- missed recycling and refuse collections
- overhanging branches or bushes and
- abandoned vehicles.
We also ask StreetWatchers to encourage other residents to use our recycling facilities.
Reporting problems
- use our e-form to send us information on the condition of your street
