Graffiti: reporting graffiti

It is a criminal offence to write or spray graffiti on any property without the owner's permission. In Brent the local police will arrest graffiti offenders. The offender may then be taken to court and subjected to large fines, community service and sometimes imprisonment.

If you witness anyone spraying graffiti illegally:

• telephone the Police immediately on 999.
• if you want to report a graffiti crime that has already happened and the offender has left the crime scene or if you have any information regarding graffiti crimes please report this free of charge to Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111. You can call anonymously, and could receive a Community Action Reward.

Please remember:To note the appearance of the offender. If they are using a vehicle note the:

• registration number 
• colour
• make of the vehicle.
