How to use your kitchen caddy

The kitchen caddy is provided for use with the green organic bin.

Step one:
put all your kitchen scraps into the caddy
Step two:
empty the contents into your green organic bin
Step three: leave your green organic bin out for collection every week. Please leave the bin at the edge of the property, but not on the public highway (e.g. pavement)

You can help by:

  • using the kitchen caddy to transport your food waste from your kitchen to your green organic bin
  • not leaving your kitchen caddy out for collection as it will not be collected. Instead empty your kitchen caddy into the green organic bin.

You can help yourself by wrapping any food waste in a sheet or two of newspaper or put your food waste into a cardboard box, such as a cereal box. This will help to keep your green organic bin clean and can help to prevent flies and maggots

We will provide our residents who receive the green organic bin service with a free kitchen caddy
