Biodegradable sacks are available for the collection of garden waste only.
The sack are provided by us free of charge. Please contact us to request a pack of biodegradable sacks.
When the sacks are ready for collection, please leave them out next to you organics wheeled bin or food waste container on your day of collection.
What can I put in the bio-sack?
Dead flowers, grass and plant cuttings, hedge and branch trimmings, weeds, fallen fruit, leaves and twigs.
What can't I put in the bio-sack?
Household waste, plastics of any kind, soil, stones or rubble, pet faeces or litter, disposable nappies, manufactured wood, planks or fencing, Japanese knotweed.
We will not collect the biodegradable sacks if you have put the wrong materials in the sacks. We will put a tag on the sacks to tell you that there are materials that we cannot accept. It will be your responsibility to ensure that the wrong materials are removed from the sacks.
When do you collect?
When the sacks are ready for collection, please leave them out before 7am on your day of collection next to your organics wheeled bin or food waste container. Please do not put the biodegradable sacks on the public highway.
